As you have probably figured, i don't quite blog about daily school life and such, only like sabbaticals.... but i can't help it this time...
i've been like not as on turbo speed because i'm kinda breaking down the engine i mean...and besides there was piano.. and i really really wanted to pass it...
so yep there it goes crash... split between the 2. apparently i tried practising piano ... more whenever i can and therefore lesser time to revise...and i had to sleep for a certain amt of time or i won't be able to wake up the next day.. well sometimes...
and so yep.. i practised..try to revise still.. went for exam.. with the same problem-cold fingers- seriously was cold... but it was weird to wear ur jacket in the middle of the exam right? anyway yeah.. went for piano exam... then i started trying to study more.. study study study.. but sometimes really tired... and then the friday before the first exam... couldn't eat dinner... just totally dun feel like... lucky i'm still ok and even so now... n here i am trying to finish revising for the last paper with a junk of questions in my head...
I did something insane that saturday after the unable-to-eat-dinner friday, it was around..2300.. i wanted to finish studying for the paper.. then i can juz simply flip through the notes on sunday, but i just felt like sleeping.. so i switched off the lights and went to sleep, setting my alarm clock at 2330. then i really woke up at 2330 and started studying again until around 0200. n the sleep seriously helped because i managed to rmb the facts easily.
and now.. with only 1 more paper to go i realised my heart have been beating quite fast for the past few days... i don't know if it's fast or what... *sigh*... and i'm tired again.. but i'm so worried for EVERYTHING.. i still feel that i haven't tried my best i don't know why.. though i've really given near to all for history.. maths.. is seriously.. i don't know i didn't practise recently because i have been practising piano... and i had to finish homework. english and chinese i don't know... geography was a mess... i mixed up some stuff...
i really don't know and actually i don't feel like knowing....
all i can say is...
teachers if my results come out disappointing, pls pardon me...ok? well for piano teacher too... but i really DID try my best... i was still trying to balance out both sides... and well academic is still more important right? because it doesn't seem like you can go far with juz that cert...
man... this lump...- that's a non-matter-
now my stomach... k i don't feel like eating carrots n peanut butter... gosh!

Sabbaticals this week
Hello, haven't been blogging... because i don't quite do it anyway.
This week was sabbaticals, and it was definitely GREAT! :)
I chose History Learning Journey and Chinese Song Composition.(Each is a 150min session)
History Learning Journey
You must be thinking that i am nuts, HISTORY learning journey.. history is boring right? well actually this is not exactly concentrated on the history aspect of it but the "process" of it... well the best thing is that we got to go out on field trip twice in a week :) i like field trips.... It's actually about planning tours. on the first day we went on a battlesite tour... an example of tour given by the two teachers (Ms K and Mr M.) yeah the other thing is that the teachers are very nice :). ok neway on monday we went to Labrador park and Kranji War Memorial. Labrador park kinda amazed me i mean i never knew that it had so much historical content in it, i thought that it was just some sort of natural reserve-not really- juz a park by the sea. i liked it... especially when everybody was quiet.. u just hear the creatures' sounds only and the sea-did we hear the waves?- i only remember that there was just that point of time when everybody stopped talking.. n i just heard all these sounds pressurizing into my ears. kind of enclosed feeling..but it's nice.. not those kind of stuffy enclosed feeling. Then we took a long, blur, sleepy ride to Kranji. well i was kind of blur of the route we were taking as i was getting a little sleepy. This place is really my favourite.. it's really great.... tranquility... greenery... juz simply beautiful. the grass was like... oh man so green! perfect grass. the rows n rows of tombstones was quite an , i can't describe a little sour.. but not like jealous sour. (duh) just sore... yes sore feeling... slight sore feeling. but it just made it more beautiful with all the trees, grass, flowers. beautiful, never knew there was such a nice place. :)
From tuesday to thursday we just planned n argued n everything concerning planning a tour. apparently we didn't get chosen but i dunno if it's a gd or bad thing. ( mind u all these pple in this session are frm different classes so it's like the first day of sch kind of feeling as u dunno everybody else except some who are ur classmates.)
Anyway today we went to um.. Kampong Gelam that area.... we went to Istana(Malay heritage centre), Arab Street, Bussoroh st, Kandahar Rd/st yeah.. abt that. it was really nice.. i mean i dun quite get to go to such places... cuz um firstly i dun even know how to get there by public bus. So whenever i get to go i don't feel as if it's a boring visit because i must say it seemed to have changed since last yr a bit. didn't look exactly the same. or maybe it's because we went in the morning. Anyway i learnt that Makam, marked on the outside of the mosque, is where those who have passed on are laid. and um there's this bakery.. that sells kaya loaves or durian loaves. but we didn't get to try it as it was too early and the person haven't had the chance to bake yet. um but i tried sth new, i bought this... do u call it a pie? it's a triangular pastry, its pastry is like croissant and i chose potato filling... it was nice.. well i liked it.. especially its pastry :) they bought teh tarik, but i didn't because i was worried that the milk taste would be so strong that i was going to waste it. i can't take white milk if u didn't know.. i rmb the last time i drank it, i was using this donald duck mug and apparently i was so shocked and surprised that i dropped the plastic mug i think... lucky it didn't break. but tt sure shocked my mum n shook me up and i never touched white milk again. haha.it's a gd time :)
Chinese Song Composition
This is really gd okay i love it so much! i hope Mr L will let us use it whenever we want.. i mean like really whenever during recess or lunchbreak or aftersch.saturday sunday is even better..but can't expect him to come all the way to sch on saturday or sunday juz to open it for me to use right? so yeah :) Anyway we had 3 teachers teaching us, Mr L our sch teacher, Mr W a Chinese lyrics writer who wrote many of singapore songs be it drama serials or local singers and Ms sth.. i don't know what's her surname, let's call her Ms E lah k...
Mr W is like.. my gosh... i mean he talked for 2 and a half hours on monday... n actually on thursday too.i think he also did so on Tuesday Haha.neway yeah he told us a lot abt writing chinese lyrics... the structure, the content, the language, the choice of words etc. he also told us some personal experience and the best thing : he let us listen to demos :) AND songs :) Well we wrote our own lyrics frm monday to wednesday and he reviewed it on thursday's lesson. apparently he thinks tt we all got the same problem... repetition of content Haha... n mine he said: gd concept... but juz.. wrong isn't nice. well except for 2 stanzas... :)
So i rewrote the WHOLE lyrics keeping a bit n the idea there. yep n i've done the melody and accompaniment.. seriously it sounds sad for my lyrics so i'm trying to think of sth too add in the "bridge" so that it becomes reasonably sad. Anyway thanks to heeai's link (guo4 men2) connecting the verse to chorus, the song is almost completed. which i've left her with lyrics to add to that score on the computer as i had to rush home for piano which apparently the time's been changed. But anyway i'm quite satisfied... well besides some part of the song sounds funny :) but i definitely like it overall. and i PURPOSELY made it around.. middle C the highest is wat.. high C? yeah.. the lowest is um.. low A i mean it is easier to sing. :)
Hm.. Ms E... helped with the music part more.. which was really helpful as she found out the main problem with the melody having weird rhythms... wrong time signature Haha!
And Mr L ... helped with the accompaniment.. just advice well yeah true maybe it's better to try out first.. but apparently he has no idea how bad i am on all these theory kind of things... but come to think of it i never quite used my "head knowledge"(as he called it) when i was composing this song.. i just.. play and add accompaniment by feel see if it sounds nice.. that's all.. yeah.. Haha.
Ok anyway during the june hols i was like... watching korean shows... i mean it's really nice. i like it but um.. yeah... n i realised sth bad abt the shows.. it's draggy.... so yep. but they're nice lah... but the 2nd show, the guy.... he totally reminds me of an elf i mean the hair style n everything... wonder if it's because of the nose or ears or hairstyle.. *sigh* and i realised tt they like to have a fringe to cover their forehead eh? but anyway i like the show.. :)oh... the song is nice too! :) k gtg...

Singapore Town (Music & Lyrics: The Sidaislers)
Introduction:
Singapore Town is about sightseeing as a tourist in Singapore, more or less. But Singapore History is about history in Singapore. Enjoy!
Here's the link to have the tune and lyrics for the Original song.

Singapore Town
Music & Lyrics: The Sidaislers
You could take a little trip around Singapore town
In Singapore city bus
To see Collyer Quay and Raffles Place
The Esplanade and all of us
Chorus:
Because in Singapore, Singapore
Their hearts are big and wide you'll find
Because in Singapore, Singapore
You'll find happiness for everyone
Let's go down to the riverside, it's an unforgettable sight
To see the sunrise on a faraway isle, turning darkness into light
( Repeat Chorus )
The buildings are climbing all the way to the sky
And there's a hundred other people who are striving
For people like you and I
( Repeat Chorus )
Singapore History
Original song by The Sidaislers
Editting by Sheena Lim**
You could take a little trip around Singapore history
In the Singapore History bus
To see Parliament building and Fort Canning
And the Istana Singapore
Chorus:
Because in Singapore, Singapore
Their history is wide in variety
Because in Singapore, Singapore
You'll find history from everyone
Let's go down to the Parliament, it's a glamorous sight
To see the pillars climbing up to the sky, turning boredom into joy
(repeat chorus)
The Chopsticks at City Hall are reaching up to the sky
But there's other museums that are only 2 stories high
Just like Asian Civilisations
(repeat chorus)

How to live happily...

I hope you can see the picture...i just drew it just now...
First post i say...
Here's what you got to do to live happily(or just so in school or at work):
1) Be nice to everyone
2) When someone treated you badly, or you are not happy with the way they treated you, continue to treat them nicely, like nothing happened. "Why?"You ask."For it is them who lose out," I reply.
3)When someone is rude to you, again, act like nothing happened
ok there's many many many points to say, but in conclusion: Acting is the key solution. That is why our school wants us to take drama lessons and A-C-T. It is to let us learn how to act and be gracious.
"You are nuts!" You exclaim. "No, I'm not!" I retort back, "Life is but a dream.Sometimes you ask yourself 'where am i?' And in your mind, the option that it is a dream will float. Since life is a dream, just live it with what it has. For irritating pests who do not even know when they are wrong, well i guess you don't have to care.A-C-T like you don't care for they do not care. And anyway, they lose out, they'll just leave the world not knowing what they've done wrong."
When you really can't stand it, P-L-E-A-S-E open up your mouth and TALK. Do NOT yell at the person and think that he or she knows for he or she may know not. And well, sometimes instead of keeping your friendship or say relationship, you end up wrecking it. "PIANG!" it shatters to a million pieces, just like that.
Life is fragile, but some friendships are not, nor are some relationships. All you gotta do is choose, "act" or "talk".
